JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The laboratory of Assistant Professor Danielle Reifsnyder Hickey, in the Departments of Chemistry and of Materials Science and Engineering, at The Pennsylvania State University, seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position in aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM). Projects will involve the structure and properties of nanomaterials. Education and Experience The postdoctoral candidate should have extensive experience in nanomaterials and aberration-corrected STEM.An applicant must possess a Ph.D. (or be scheduled to receive one) in a relevant research area before the start date of employment. Self-motivation is essential because the selected individual will be expected to lead independent research projects. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are also necessary to work in this highly collaborative environment. Additional Information Applicants who are interested and qualified must submit an application electronically as a single pdf that includes: 1. A cover letter describing your background and prior training 2. A CV which includes a list of publications 3. A brief statement (1-2 pages) of research interests. This is a limited-term appointment funded for one-year from the date of hire with a possibility of re-funding.
