All About You

The Department of Physics at Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, seeks a diverse pool of applicants for a tenured/tenure-track (open rank) faculty position in experimental physics. We are looking for a dynamic hands-on physicist who would engage in experimental interdisciplinary and applied physics research, will collaborate with existing faculty within and outside of the Department, and will contribute to the growing interdisciplinary research portfolio of the School of Science and Engineering and Saint Louis University. We are particularly interested in the areas of molecular and/or quantum optics, quantum materials and quantum information, advanced materials, nanomaterials and devices, condensed matter physics, biophysics, medical physics, or nanomedicine. Outstanding candidates with other areas of specialization in experimental physics will also be considered. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in experimental physics, post-doctoral research experience, and a strong record of scholarly accomplishments commensurate with their rank. Applicants should be dedicated to performing ground-breaking, funded research in experimental physics and have the potential to build an exceptional national/international research program. The successful candidate must be able to teach across the spectrum of undergraduate and graduate physics curriculum including experiential and laboratory courses and should have a passion for mentoring students and researchers at all levels.
