Our work is done through projects and Garver is seeking a Transportation Project Managerto manage PS&E projects as part of our growing team in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area. They will be mentored and trained as seller-doers with opportunities to lead projects, market our services, interact with the biggest transportation clients in Texas, and perform the work.
Responsibilities of this role include:


  • Overall Project Management
  • Sub-consultant coordination
  • Managing Project Schedules & Budgets
  • Managing Project Assignments
  • Leading Project Design Team
  • Leading Plan Production
  • Preparing cost estimates
  • Leading Meetings & Client interaction
  • Marketing/Proposal Production and Interviews


Technical experience should include:


  • Geometric design of Roadways & Interchanges
  • Knowledge of Drainage Design
  • Construction sequencing / Traffic Control Plans & Constructability Reviews
  • Utility Conflict Resolution/Relocation Coordination


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Eight (8) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
  • Practical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) as well as TxDOT Design manuals and processes
  • Experience with Microstation, Open Roads Designer, Geopak or InRoads and/or other roadway design software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • TxDOT Pre-Certs
  • TxDOT Dallas and/or FTW contacts


Preferred Skills:


  • Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on TxDOT (or other DOT) transportation projects
  • 3D Design experience
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or will have the ability to obtainreciprocity within three months of hire
