Summary of Job Duties:The Agriculture Department at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff seeks applicants for Adjunct Faculty position in Agricultural Engineering. Must have good written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, make decisions in a timely manner, and cultivate a good working relationship with co-workers.

Applicants must be a certified professional engineer (P.E.) or demonstrate the ability to qualify for a P.E. in Arkansas. And should have experience and qualifications to be able to facilitate and coordinate activities required for ABET accreditation of the agricultural engineering program.

The successful candidate will teach AGEN 1101 Orientation to Agricultural Engineering. He/she should have a through and broad understanding of modern equipment used in the construction, agricultural and energy industries.

The successful candidate should be able to challenge students' creative minds to develop and improve the next generation of agricultural equipment, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, power trains, hydraulics and agricultural mechanics.

The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in curriculum development, student advisement, internship supervision, industry collaboration, student recruitment, assessment, and the development and delivery of industry training programs. Expectations also include engagement in scholarship, grant writing, campus governance and other service. The successful applicant must have a strong interest in higher education and be enthusiastic about creating an educational environment that is innovative and inspiring to students in the classroom and in the field.

FUNCTIONS

Teaching responsibilities will include: 1) Teaching undergraduates and 2) Other work/responsibilities as assigned by the departmental supervisors. Qualifications:
