Pay Range $25-$27

($2.00 shift differential for Night Shift is not included in pay range)

In this role, you will be able to lead and contribute in meaningful ways at our new McCalla, AL facility.

Role Responsibilities:

Responsible for the manufacture of consumer foods which comply with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Understands and supports company and site safety policies and performs work related activities in a safe manner. Recognizes unsafe working conditions, coaches peers, and suggests new safety standards as appropriate.

Responsible for the creation, review, and editing of documents that aid in the manufacture of consumer foods which comply with all Food Safety, Quality, and regulatory requirements.

Administer the document management system in SharePoint.

Assign document numbers to SOP, SSOP, OPL, JSA, Safety Maps, LOTO documents and other required documents.

Route documents for review and approval.

Upload documents to SharePoint.

File and organize documents.

Adhere to documentation approval process and ensure compliance and consistency across all departments.

Track and report document progress.

Communicate finalized documents to teams.

Distribute documentation to teams as needed.

Coach all levels of the organization on good documentation practices.

Provide training and coaching on the documentation process to employees at all levels within the organization.

Utilized resources within each department to create organized documentation that is complete, accurate and up to date with a focus on proper grammar and spelling.

Ensure easy and efficient retrieval of documents.

Actively and effectively communicate with team members regarding document status.

Create and execute annual documentation review process.

Scan hardcopy documents to digital images.

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Must be able to follow the J.M. Smucker Basic Beliefs and Code of Conduct.

Willing to travel for trainings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Previous experience writing documentation is preferred.

Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application including Word, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Strong grammar and writing skills.

Self-motivated and can work accurately and independently with minimal direct supervision.

Detail oriented and able to effectively multitask and meet deadlines.

Able to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions.

Able to drive group decision making.

Able to communicate effectively.

Collaborate effectively within a team.

Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Build relationships at all levels within the plant.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and duties of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and lift. The employee is required to stand and walk at minimum 90% of the time.

The employee must be able to work 12-hour shifts.

The employees must occasionally lift/push/pull or carry up to 60 pounds and should be able to lift 35-60 pounds on a frequent basis.

The employee must be able to squat or kneel and to bend on a frequent basis.

The employee must be able to tolerate exposure to flour and yeast, oils, and peanut butter as well as other materials.

The employee must be able to climb steps on a frequent basis.

Repetitive motion, reaching, handling/feeling frequently (60-90% of the time).

Hearing protection required.

Vision

Employee is required to have a minimum of 20/40 vision in each eye with or without corrective lenses. The applicant must pass a standard eye exam.

Work Environment

This role may be a rotational offline support role. Potential to rotate into an online technician role after 3-5 years.

Schedule is Monday-Friday but willing to work a flexible schedule that most effectively supports the organization.

Ability to work off-shifts or weekends as needed.

Computer usage.

Environment temperature varies between hot (85+ degrees) and cold (40 degrees) conditions.

Noise level is moderate to high; hearing conservation program required.
