Student - Off Campus Shuttle Driver

The opportunity

Job Summary:

SNHU operates an off-campus shuttle that is used to transport SNHU students to and from designated locations in the greater Manchester area. The off-campus shuttle operates on Saturdays from 12-8pm and on the first Friday of each month from 4-11pm. In this position, you will be expected to operate shuttle vehicles (mini-van/standard sized SUV) in a safe and efficient manner, maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, and provide exceptional customer service to passengers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transport passengers to and from designated locations in a safe and timely manner
• Follow pre-planned routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations
• Assist passengers with loading and unloading if necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shuttle vehicle
• Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
• Report any vehicle malfunctions, maintenance needs, incidents to your supervisor
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving the shuttle vehicle
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
• Collect contact information from passengers to ensure accurate records
• Participate in initial trainings and ongoing meetings (monthly) as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to become an SNHU approved driver
• Ability to operate a passenger van or shuttle bus
• Good communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfort with driving a vehicle in various weather conditions
• Ability to work Fridays and Saturdays
• Good customer service skills
• Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU (minimum of X credits)
• Work-Study as part of the financial aid package
• Be in positive standing with Community Standards and Academics
