Biology Adjunct Instructors Spring 2025

Teach introductory biology courses to science, nursing, and allied health majors during Spring 2025 semester (January 6, 2025 - May 2, 2025). Courses may include Principles of Biology I (lecture/lab), Microbiology (lab), Cell Biology (lab), Anatomy (lab).

Adjuncts are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom and/or laboratory settings. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

* Master of Science degree in related field
* Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
* Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university

* Prior experience teaching biology courses
* Doctoral degree in related field

There is some flexibility based on availability; courses could be taught during the day (preferred) or evenings. All class are face-to-face with online support, and laboratories include hands-on and inquiry-based components.

Work is performed in classroom and laboratory settings with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
