Position Overview

Workplace Technology Hardware Asset Management engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's hardware assets. This includes overseeing the lifecycle of all Workplace Technology hardware assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring that they are efficiently used, accounted for and properly documented throughout their lifecycle. The successful candidate will be required to perform internal audits and maintain an accurate record of all IT assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Lifecycle Management: Oversee the company's hardware asset management program, ensuring all IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, and other devices, are accurately tracked, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.

ITAM Program: Develop and maintain processes to track and report on asset usage and performance, providing insights to management to inform decision-making. Provide guidance and support to other teams on asset management best practices, policies, and procedures.

Hardware Standards: Assess and maintain hardware standards for laptops, desktops, and computer peripherals. Test new models for compatibility in our environment.

Disposal: Manage the disposal and recycling of IT assets in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies. Manage asset retirement, data wiping, and equipment recycling processes.

Warranty Repair: Submits hardware warranty cases into OEM manufacturer for repair, tracking and identify trends in hardware warranty requests.

Security and Risk Management: Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure that asset management practices align with cybersecurity protocols and data protection regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

3+ years of experience in IT asset management

Strong knowledge of asset management tools and software, such as Ivanti Asset Manager or similar tools

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Certification in IT Asset Management (CHAMP. CITAD)

This role is based in our Washington, D.C. office. A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between $69,000- $94,000 per year.

Any actual offer of employment, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be made in the sole discretion of ACS. ACS reserves the right to amend or modify its employment benefits and compensation structure at any time.
