Fire Sprinkler Contract Sales / Change Order Specialist - Experienced Brea, CA The LA/Orange District office of Cosco Fire Protection has a challenging and growth oriented opportunity for the right entrepreneurially minded individual. We are looking for a motivated team player with relationships in the local construction community to help us grow our offering in the LA and Orange County Markets. A strong change order background in construction is highly desirable. Job Responsibilities: Formulate and develop sales goals and plans for the contract department. Once developed, work collaboratively with District Management to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales goals. Locate & qualify desired & targeted projects. Foster local customer relationships resulting in tangible sales. Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of new construction and service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies. Develop, maintain, and broaden customer relationships through quotations, anticipating needs, resolving concerns and complaints, and providing technical support. Develop layouts, estimates, calculations, quotations, and proposals. Ensure that all proposals and contracts are processed and that any information required to complete turnover/billing packages is given to operations staff in a timely manner. Estimate related service work & small projects including day-work as required. Tasks include mentoring/training change coordinators, investigating extra work issues to establish the root cause, and determining the avenue for cost recovery Read and understand Joint Venture, Consortium or Partnership agreements (as applicable) Read and understand purchase order language in Vendor and Subcontract PO's Read and understand the technical details, drawings, specifications, codes, and standards set forth by the project to be able to prove entitlement for change management Develop Client or Engineering change orders as allowed by contractual agreements Review RFI's, NCR's, DCN's and spec deviations Develop and process Back charges Develop basic estimates as back up documentation Maintain interpersonal relationships to interface with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Subcontracts, QC, Enterprise/JV Accounting, Vendors and Client Prepare documents for budget transfer or cost recovery based on contractual agreements Oversee daily activities regarding to change management Qualifications: 4 or more years of fire sprinkler sales and/or change order management experience required. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, sprinkler system design drawings, and applicable NFPA codes and standards. Demonstrated leadership and proven negotiation skills and sales achievements. Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed. Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Completion of college degree in business, construction management, or engineering (or equivalent work experience). Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Highly proficient in the use of personal computers including Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc. Job Type: Full-time Job Location: Brea, CA Supervisory Responsibilities: This role has no formal supervisory responsibility. Ability to provide guidance to operations team members (i.e. design, field superintendent) during execution of projects sold will be required. Preferred license or certification: None required. NICET certification a plus. Education: Bachelor (preferred) or equivalent directly applicable work experience.
