Salary range:
The current salary range for the Associate Professor range $96,500 - $143,600 (9-month academic year salary) and the full Professor range $112,900 - $227,400 (9-month academic year salary), however, off-scale salary and other components of pay, which would yield compensation that is higher than this range, are offered to meet competitive conditions.

Position description

The Department of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a tenured, Associate or Full Professor faculty position. Candidates will be considered regardless of field of specialization. The position's duties include: academic research and publications, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and administrative service.
