Milliman's Employee Benefit Consulting Practice is looking for a consulting actuary with significant experience working with multiemployer (Taft-Hartley) pension plans to join our growing practice. In this role, you will lead client engagements and marketing efforts, enhance our reputation for exceptional customer service and effective communication, and be a key leader that will help chart the future of our multiemployer practice and mentor our next generation of leaders. What You Will Do

In this role, you will:



  • Lead client engagements, serving as the primary contact to key multiemployer clients and contacts
  • Manage client teams, including overseeing production and ensuring technical accuracy of work
  • Attend and present work products at client meetings
  • Actively participate in and lead marketing efforts
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Speak as an expert at industry conferences
  • Build on Milliman's reputation for clear communication and excellent customer service


What We Are Looking For

Preferred Qualifications



  • Significant experience as a client-facing consultant for multiemployer pension plans,
  • Deep technical expertise in the rules and regulations impacting multiemployer pension plans,
  • Enrolled Actuary designation,
  • Strong ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences,
  • Ability to relate to, and work with, people of varied backgrounds,
  • Ability to travel to client meetings and industry events,
  • Experience managing actuarial staff,
  • Desire to actively participate in growing our business,
  • Strong industry connections and marketing skills,
  • Experience speaking at industry conferences or trade group events.

Location

This is a remote position. Candidates hired into this role may work onsite in select Milliman office locations, if they prefer. This job posting is anticipated to remain active through December 31, 2024.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $118,000 - $254,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
