UTeach-Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured positions to teach and supervise undergraduate, post-baccalaureate and graduate students seeking English, History, Social Studies and Languages Other Than English (LOTE) certifications. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Must hold, or have held, teacher certification in a liberal arts field. Fifteen years of experience teaching in middle school or high school, as administrator, or evaluator in EC-12 settings with preference for public school experience. Experience developing academic curriculum, leading professional development, and demonstrated expertise with educational technology. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree or PhD. Demonstrated potential to supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students at a large research university with a diverse student body. Training and experience in social emotional learning and trauma-informed instruction as related to education. Knowledge of the Texas Teacher Standards.
