Position: Japanese Bilingual In-Store Brand Ambassador - Food Products, Weekend Only
Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Areas (Stores in West Los Angeles, Torrance and Orange County)
Reports to: Operations Leader
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Hours: Sat & Sun 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (1 hour unpaid lunch time)
Pay: $22-$23/h
Overview:
The In-Store Brand Ambassador is responsible for effectively promoting and showcasing food products through in-store demonstrations at grocery stores and retail locations. You will be a representation of the brand that has food products highlighted with nutritional value, ingredients, and positive impact on overall well-being. This role involves engaging with customers, providing product samples or tastings, and ensuring a positive brand experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Communicate with store management about the demonstration plans and displays as well as follow store guidelines before demonstrations.
* Set up and maintain a visually appealing demonstration booth, ensuring cleanliness and organization on the store floor, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
* Engage with customers, offering product samples or tastings and providing informative product information.
* Answer customer questions and address concerns in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
* Promote product features and benefits to encourage sales.
* Understand the brand messaging and product characteristics such as nutrition, flavor, prices, and represent the brand in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
* Report the daily activity by taking photos, customer feedback and interactions, and other relevant information.
* Dismantle and store sales displays after the demonstration without any damage to store property.
* If the store demonstration is not scheduled, prepare for the next demonstrations by bagging samples and completing necessary administrative tasks in the office (Marina Del Ray).
Qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong customer service orientation.
* Enthusiasm for food and the ability to effectively communicate product benefits.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid drivers' license.
* Japanese Bilingual skills (conversational)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in retail sales or customer service.
* Bilingual language skills.
* One-year certification from a college or technical school in a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand for extended periods.
* Ability to lift and carry product displays and equipment.
* Ability to drive to stores in assigned territory (Southern California).

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
