We are searching for an experienced General Purchasing Analyst at our client's Headquarters facility.



Description:

Assignments as a General Purchasing Analyst will include and are not limited to RFQ (Request for Quote) process, pricing review and negotiation; research, compile and analyze data to ensure supplier quotations are in line with the benchmark. Track and manage cost, research and explain any variances; track and manage yearly cost savings, on time delivery quotes along with agreements and COI updates. Work closely with admins to provide thorough guidelines and assist them with any trouble shooting. Review Purchase Requests and create Purchase Orders for all locations as well as process related invoices.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:


  • Perform the buying function for the purchasing of goods and services in accordance with Corporate Purchasing policies and procedures. Create manual Purchase Requests for HQ and process invoices accordingly. Analyze purchase requests for the best available purchasing method, pricing, terms and conditions, quantity discounts, quality, and service. Prepare and enter purchase orders into SAP system with all required detailed information. Assist PDC managers and administrators have better understanding of using SAP system and to make Purchase process more prompt and convenient. Keep track of monthly Use tax report. Assist new locations with necessary purchasing procedures and SAP training.
  • Assist Business Units with sourcing of qualified suppliers, development of specifications, product standardization, negotiations, development of clear and concise contracts, and acting as liaison with supplier issues. Manage bid process including solicitation, analysis, negotiations and evaluation recommendations. Analyze the Company's purchasing requirements, research market conditions and recommend improvements for purchasing procedures and strategies. (65%)
  • Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships, including review of performance. Manage agreement renewals/terminations as well as keeping Certificate of Insurance up-to-date. (10%)
  • Assist with corporate event purchases and collaborate on tasks within the General Affairs team, including asset audits, event planning and preparation, and supporting PDC operations (25%).
  • Identify strategies and implement tactics to achieve annualized net savings
  • Negotiate business and pricing agreements to gain maximum value, while minimizing risk; ensure coverage in confidentiality, liability and governmental regulations.
  • Support and guide all locations' admins with SAP system issues and general purchasing procedure.
  • Work closely with Finance Dept. on vendor management and Invoice procedure as well as Asset purchases.
  • Develop and maintain tracking system.
  • Manage purchasing and supply management processes as well as keeping positive relationship with internal/external customers.
  • Support GA team when needed for special occasions and events.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 2-4 years of experience


The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
