Job Summary:

  • The Clinical Improvement Program Specialist is accountable to advance the execution of organizational clinical strategic improvement through providing project leadership and closely partners with the Clinical Improvement Designer.
  • Applies diverse knowledge of project management expertise, process improvement principles, and familiarity with the health care operations environment to effectively drive work across the Plan, Execute, and Sustain phases of a clinical improvement project.
  • Utilizes project management best practices through ownership of project documentation, daily collaboration with project team members/operational leaders/key stakeholders, and management and facilitation of meetings.

Essential Functions:

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Utilizes established Enterprise project management standards, processes, policies, methodologies and tools to manage timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Collaborates with other Clinical Improvement Team members and leaders to drive organization wide initiatives and improvement work with ownership of accountability and outcomes.
  • Assists with data and KPI tracking and report outs to leadership to drive performance of improvement initiatives and reduce clinical variation and utilization.
  • Contributes value to overarching efforts of OnPoint Program to improve equity, experience, quality, safety, and population health across all pillars through being able to provide project management support across these areas.
  • Develops and maintains trusting relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaborative improvement efforts.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

B.S. in Business, relevant clinical field, Healthcare Administration, and/or Quality and Safety.

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management is required.

AND

Experience:

  • Proven ability to manage all stages of the Project Management life cycle
  • Proven ability to work in teams with diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Superior interpersonal management skills and emotional intelligence
  • Experience overseeing large, complex projects, in a dynamic healthcare environment and within other healthcare organizations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong leadership and multitasking abilities
  • Experience in managing information systems, clinical initiatives, and process improvement projects
  • Comfortable working in complex matrixed environment

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

Required:

  • PMP or CAPM certification (can currently be pursuing)

Preferred:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above, AND/OR
  • Quality Improvement-related certification
