BASIC PURPOSE The Music Instructor provides a nurturing and safe environment for individuals to embark on a journey of music and instrument learning. With a focus on elementary students and youth, the instructor conducts group lessons under the guidance of Corps Officers and the Education Center Supervisor. This ensures that students have a secure and loving space to discover the joys of music. The Education Center, which is a part of The Salvation Army / Oakland Chinatown Corps, operates as an all-embracing outreach program, welcoming people from diverse cultures, ethnicities, and age groups in the community. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
hold a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in music education or a closely related field.
