Job Description

Brightspeed is looking for an Inventory Specialist- Finance to join our team! As an Inventory Specialist- Finance, you will be responsible for supporting engineering and local field OPS with material needs, order creation, and resolution. Maintaining and managing local engineering network materials ordered for high value projects and managing the pack & hold inventories at each location. In this important role you will function as the primary lead support per geographical area for supply chain and the reporting manager.

As an Inventory Specialist- Finance your responsibilities will include:

  • Operatingforklift (Certification required) to offload reels, crates, conduit lifts, palletized material
  • Performing forklift inspections daily prior to first usage
  • Keeping a minimum of four weeks of standard interval material on hand that your field customer requires
  • Anticipatingand adjusting material levels based on longer lead times and seasonal impacts
  • Inputtingstandard product orders in the CART and SAP ordering system
  • Performing regular audits of material levels to ensure critical items are stocked and low usage items are reduced
  • Surveying shelves weekly prior to placing orders
  • Returning excess supplier material through Material Return Process
  • Ensuringmaterial delivered and quantity of boxes received matches packing slip/order, if correct SA signs shipping document presented for carrier
  • If materials are short on quantities or damaged: Ensure driver notation of damage or shortage on vendor direct deliveries before signing
  • Preparingmaterial and equipment shipment requests- BOL's for shipment - returns, recycling, cable reels, trash & scrap roll-offs
  • Maintaining Network Jobs Inventory in SAP Track and conducting monthly audits on said inventory
  • Keeping the work area, storeroom and yard clean and organized
  • Supporting Recycling initiatives with communication to our recycling vendors when needed
  • Maintaining and operatingcompany provided vehicle for deliveries or any other related tasks
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in warehousing and inventory systems
  • Must have OSHA approved forklift license or the ability to obtain one
  • Advocates a collaborative atmosphere which facilitates outside the box thinking and can oversee group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to stay customer focused while performing several different inventory and logistical duties and resolve any material order discrepancies
  • Must be able to perform strenuous physical activity but not limited to lifting/moving 100 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and Power Point applications
  • Must be able to travel to different locations/states to support asset recovery projects
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
