WHAT TO EXPECT

As a member of the Program Management organization, the Program Manager will lead long range growth and manufacturing equipment upgrade initiatives from a concept to scaled manufacturing. This leader will manage all project related functions including project and technology validation, scopes, schedules, budgets, layouts, capacity line balancing, stakeholders, and associated reporting. This position will work across all internal business groups to drive project success and operational improvement and will be responsible for driving technology upgrades and growth efforts into seamless manufacturing.
- Partner with Product Line Management and Operations Organizations to understand future demand levels and/or aging infrastructure then determine the best means to solve for the desired capacity or improvement.
- Projectized each initiative and deliver a full solution from revised facility layouts, validated new manufacturing technology, tooling, line balancing, to a final manufacturing process delivered to the facility with best practices built into the process.
- Execute on specific scope for top level project priorities, concentrating on delivery, start-up and technical accuracy.
- Develop, drive, and report on all activities associated with the assigned projects as associated with scope, schedule, budget, procurement and change management.
- Act as the group's key contributor and manager for the corporate VAVE CRB process, responsible for all documentation, data gathering, and applicable approvals.
- Work directly with the Global Procurement division in operations (specifically the Indirect Procurement Manager) to coordinate NDAs, MSAs, contract negotiations, bid events, maintenance agreements, warranties, and technical partner relations.
- Lead staff engineers, other engineering project managers and technical partners to ensure that their specific scope of the project is clearly defined and all questions/concerns are addressed.
- Responsible for the generation and tracking of all project budgets. Works directly with global finance, regional controllers, and plant controllers on budget status, monthly reconciliation, and purchase order requests.
- Take full ownership of projects and presents monthly on progress and or decisions needed to the executive team.
- Serve the Americas team as one of the top experts in executing on technically challenging growth projects
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
Strong working relationships must be developed with each Manufacturing Facility, Innovation, Product Development, Product Line Management, Sales & Operational Planning, Procurement and Commercial is required. Additional duties include:
- Provide support to Regional and Plant Operations / Engineering to maintain current capability, implement additional capabilities, answer questions, address concerns and remove cultural/technical barriers.
- Provides technical/procedural expertise and guidance to others in accomplishing projects as directed.
- Work with outside vendors to acquire needed supplies, parts, and design operation standards for process improvement implementation and standardization.
ABOUT YOU
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls or Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 8 years (2 years of experience can be substituted for a technical MS Degree) in engineering in a technical role with specific experience in process design, process improvement, Statistical Process Control/Quality Control and lean six sigma applications.
- Lean six sigma black belt certification from an accredited organization or skilled manufacturing company
- Proven ability to validate projects (business case and technical feasibility) and then drive through project execution
- Makes data driven decisions with ability to collect data needed if not readily available
- Preferred experience in process design for the manufacturing of rubber belts, hydraulic hoses and/or related assemblies.
- Experience in equipment specification, design, and integration for new and existing processes.
- Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems knowledge for equipment design and implementation
- Strong experience with process flow analysis and general manufacturing principles
- Good project management skills, including communication, execution and follow-up assessment
- Proven, positive results with capital planning and budgeting experience with projects >$5M
- Ability to work in a matrix management environment across multiple cultures
- Results oriented; seeks effective, creative solutions to process problems
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills in front of all levels of the organization
- Knowledgeable in the use of engineering software
- Computer Aided Design, Minitab, Office Suite, Product Lifecycle Management systems
- Strong technical English proficiency
- 50% - 60% travel will be required, mostly within North and South America
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
BENEFICIAL SKILLS
- Advanced controls and robotic systems configuration or programming experience is a plus
- Bi or Multi-lingual (Spanish, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, or Hindi)
- Knowledge of real-time data acquisition including sensor selection, implementation, and calibration
- PMP
- ERP: Oracle or SAP

- Process Cost Savings (Labor, Materials, Variable Overhead)
- Creation of in-process controls for critical characteristics, specifications and control standards for global manufacturing processes
PAY & BENEFITS
- Full-Time $115,000 - $140,000
- Bonus eligible

- Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
