Summary:
|
Our assistant buyers are entrepreneurial, motivated, business owners who strive to present our customers with thoughtfully and responsibly curated assortments. They develop, maintain, and implement frame assortments for each network brand, by segment and capacity. The Assistant Buyer will partner with the Buyers to create an assortment strategy at the segment/cluster level. They analyze and manage the process of reviewing frame sales by collection, by network brand and segment, to meet GMROI, sales mix and initial mark up objectives.

Pay and Pay Class
|
Pay: $18.33 - $23.50 Hourly Pay Class: Full Time and Remote (travel required twice a year)

Essential Responsibilities:
|
- Development and maintenance of optimum assortments by category/collection to match assortment segmentation strategy, including store specific needs by capacity, sales volume, and demographics.
- Communicate and manage assortment changes in conjunction with the merchandising, inventory, and visual merchandising departments in the company.
- Analyze sales trends by frame collection by segment for each network brand, bi-annually, or as needed, to recommend merchandising assortment changes per cluster, to optimize profit dollars
- Assist buyers with selection and organization of samples for each category.
- Responsible for requesting all new samples and coordination of samples.
- Assist buyers with SKU attribute set up, partnering with vendors as needed
- Assist buyers with keying in orders, frame samples, selling reports and any other processes on an as needed basis.
- Respond to store questions and requests and take action to satisfy any customer or store issues

Education:
|
- High School Diploma, Associate degree, or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
|
Experience & Background:
|
- Three - Five (5) years of related work experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to execute detailed tasks and processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel
|
Language Skills:
|
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
|
Mathematical Skills:
|
- Strong retail math skills
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
|
Reasoning Ability:

- Strong critical thinking; enjoys solving complex problems
