The Sr. Marketing Business Analyst (BA) connects business operations to the data and technology that drive growth and innovation. The Senior BA will help shape the next generation of platforms and tools, while helping business leaders employ these capabilities to develop and grow customer relationships. This is a data-centric position requiring sharp analytical skills, deep understanding of business operations, and the ability to turn data into actionable insights. This role will work with our business units to optimize their methods and processes and collaborate with data and technology teams to deliver new solutions and capabilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Embed in various business units to gain in-depth understanding of their processes, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Understand bank strategy and strategic imperatives to contextualize and prioritize initiatives.
  • Lead data-driven change management. Leverage cross-functional relationships and personal influence to drive change. Obtain and sustain buy-in and engagement of key stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyze data to guide business decision-making; communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders of different technical backgrounds.
  • Surface actionable insights and operationalize them to drive business outcomes.
  • Identify and document business requirements and user stories; collaborate with data and product owners to create, design, and test new features and capabilities.
  • Facilitate deployment and adoption of data-driven solutions. Communicate with users and help shape training initiatives. Get hands-on with end-users to help integrate these tools into their routines; monitor adoption.
  • Organize and facilitate advisory councils and working groups.
  • Promote customer-centric, data-driven design and decision-making processes.
  • Represent end-user perspectives and challenges in product design and prioritization.
  • Advocate internally for innovation; maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices.

Required Skills:


  • Skilled in stakeholder management and executive-level communications.
  • Comfortable facilitating group sessions.
  • Able to move fluidly between strategic thinking and detailed execution.
  • Strong business acumen across varying aspects of banking.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and Customer Relationship Management platforms.
  • Proficient in data analysis and data visualization.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and having a quality mindset...setting a high bar for product quality and usability.
  • Skilled in process design and mapping current and future state business processes.
  • Able to collaborate across functions with both business and technology partners.
  • Inquisitive and curious; having strong empathy, listening, and communication skills.


Required Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a business or data analyst (or similar role).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Services (banking preferred) in a sales or related function.


Preferred Experience:


  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools, Customer Relationship Management and/or marketing platforms.
  • Experience working in an agile software environment.
