PURPOSE

The Human Resources Representative's primary role is to assist the specific Markets and support the HR Manager in the following areas - associate relations, training, safety, employment, benefits, marketing activities, travel, and payroll. This individual has exemplary communication skills, as they are overseeing projects and providing guidance to managers regarding coaching and disciplinary issues and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Work with the HR Manager within a specified region of the country.
  • Oversee projects and assist as necessary within the territory.
  • Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding coaching and disciplinary issues.
  • Meet with associates to discuss grievances or concerns and make recommendations to management on how to resolve said issues.
  • Ensure all Company policies, procedures and appropriate governmental regulations are communicated and adhered to, with irregularities appropriately handled.
  • Understand and explain the basics of all benefit plans - welfare, disability, life insurance, 401(k), ESPP, etc.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities for market and district: post jobs, interviewing, scheduling, background checks, and relocation as needed.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of programs, activities, plans and processes that create a working environment that fosters a stable and productive work force with a high level of morale.
  • Conduct new hire orientation to ensure associates will become a productive and motivated member of the work force.
  • Prepare and analyze turnover reports, overtime reports and other HR related reports for analysis.
  • Travel to locations and train new HR Representatives and Coordinators.
  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of associate hiring and termination paperwork for all locations.
  • Prepare and enter payroll information, including commissions; reviews incentives and obtains approval.
  • Is prepared to fill-in for HR Managers within the territory on a short-term basis.
  • Monitor worker's compensation and communicate with doctors, associates and corporate personnel.
  • May assist with local Market payroll processing, including time card verification and edits.
  • Other administrative and human resources projects and tasks as required and assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • 3 years related experience.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Above average verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must have a high degree of patience with the ability to recognize potential problems.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law and OSHA Regulations.
  • PHR Certification helpful.
  • Ability to travel as needed, possibly for extended periods.
