Under general supervision of the Associate Director, Communication and Leadership and Community Service, the Community Service Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing co-curricular service learning and social innovation initiatives within the larger community (local, regional, national, and global). Through asset-based community development, this position collaborates with students, staff, faculty, and community partners to create, support, and sustain initiatives that mutually benefit community partners and provide students with community engagement opportunities. This position will identify and establish ongoing partnerships and programs with community and governmental agencies by leveraging community strengths and meeting community needs while advancing the personal and professional development of students. This position oversees recruitment, development, and training of student leadership for co-curricular service projects and social innovation. Advise student leaders in the development, implementation, and assessment of community service programs and social innovation initiatives such as Alternative Breaks. Coordinate social justice education and personal reflection to enhance student learning and development. Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to develop curriculum and facilitate workshops and trainings on fundamentals of community engagement and community engaged learning. Responsibilities include site development, identifying and establishing community partnerships, risk management, fundraising and grant writing, providing training and work direction for student leaders, student assistants, graduate assistants (as assigned), program assessment, and providing opportunities for education, training and reflection. Using knowledge and skills as a seasoned, experienced Student Services professional, performs the full range of duties and responsibilities within a Student Life specialization. Assesses situations and determines appropriate action or referral. Works independently under general supervision to provide information and interpretation of complex policies, procedures and regulations. Identifies and responds to student needs for programs, services, and crisis intervention. QUALIFICATIONS

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
