The Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine welcomes applications for tenure-eligible faculty positions at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Applicants should be enthusiastic about teaching medical and graduate students, serving as research mentors in graduate and postdoctoral training programs in Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine, and becoming active members of the Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine, which fosters collaboration between basic, translational, and clinical researchers. The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and lead an independent research program
- Write research grant applications to federal and non-federal funders
- Conduct high-quality research
- Publish results of research in peer- reviewed journals
- Interact effectively with other members of departmental faculty and the scientific community to establish fruitful research collaborations

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below. Assistant Professor:
- PhD, MD, MD/PhD in pulmonary sciences, critical care medicine, or related field
- OR MD/DO plus graduate degree in an appropriate technical field
- A track record of accomplishments consistent with appointment to an Assistant Professor position in PSCCM
Associate Professor:
- PhD, MD, MD/PhD in pulmonary sciences, critical care medicine, or related field
- OR MD/DO plus graduate degree in an appropriate technical field
- A track record of accomplishments consistent with appointment to an Associate Professor position in PSCCM
Professor:
- PhD, MD, MD/PhD in pulmonary sciences, critical care medicine, or related field with 7+ years of postdoc experience in Pulmonary Sciences or Critical Care Medicine
- OR MD/DO plus graduate degree in an appropriate technical field
- A track record of accomplishments consistent with appointment to a Professor position in PSCCM
Preferred Qualifications (All Ranks):
- Post-doctoral experience in pulmonary sciences or related field
- The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the development of Pulmonary Sciences or Critical Care Medicine
- Candidate must demonstrate excellence in research
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-motivation, responsibility, and dedication
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Effectiveness in grant-writing

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor: $90,744 - 120,000 Associate Professor: $98,868 - 150,000 Professor: $132,864 - 200,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
