The Day-to-Day:

As a Senior Geotechnical or Construction Materials Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing medium to large-scale construction materials testing and geotechnical projects, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance with industry standards working closely with clients, project teams and laboratory staff to deliver successful projects while upholding our commitment to excellence.




  • Lead and manage geotechnical and construction materials projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering top-tier results.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of construction materials testing, geotechnical assessments, and special inspections, maintaining project timelines and budgets.
  • Work directly with clients to understand project requirements and provide tailored solutions that ensure their satisfaction and project success.
  • Guide and mentor a team of professionals, promoting their growth in technical expertise, client relations, and project management.
  • Develop strong relationships with local clients while expanding your professional network to drive business growth and meet revenue objectives.
  • Lead local and regional business development efforts, enhancing our visibility and market reach through strategic marketing and networking initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for field and laboratory services, adhering to project specifications, International Building Code (IBC) standards, and client expectations.

What You Bring:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections and Geotechnical projects
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) or able to obtain within 6 months through reciprocity
  • A strong working knowledge of applicable ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, IBC Special Inspections, and geotechnical recommendations.
  • You are willing to work outside, maneuver equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. The successful candidate must meet the requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy, and Reference Check Program.
