Job Description

The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology is announcing its search for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Molecular and/or Immuno-Parasitology. A successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program, direct PhD students and participate in teaching professional veterinary students, graduate and undergraduate students.

The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology is an integral component of the College of Veterinary Medicine that provides a unique and critical link between the basic and clinical sciences. Our mission is to acquire, advance and disseminate knowledge in the fields of pathology, parasitology, microbiology, immunology, comparative medicine, genetics and related disciplines that will ultimately lead to better diagnosis, control and prevention of animal and human diseases and to provide training of the next generation of researcher scientists.

Our Campus and Our Community: MU is a nationally competitive, global university. Many states fund separate research and land-grant universities, but Missouri combines those roles at its flagship institution. MU is both a land-grant university with a statewide mission of service to citizens and Missouri's largest public research university. MU is one of only five universities nationwide that offers law, medicine, veterinary medicine, and a nuclear research reactor on one campus. MU is a national leader in comparative medicine, in which researchers collaborate by sharing discoveries, innovations and treatments for humans and animals.
