CONTROLLERS Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated, and public financial institution. Our professionals measure the profitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of the firm's business. Controllers also ensure that the firm's activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets. OUR IMPACT We're a team of specialists charged with managing the firm's Firmwide Policy for New Activity and the associated New Activity Committees. We coordinate the assessment, approval and introduction of new businesses or activities into or within the firm. Our work contributes directly to the firm's success. The business is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The primary focus of a New Activity Associate is to engage in the identification of new activities, and subsequently manage the analysis and implementation of new products, introduction of new activities and proprietary acquisitions globally, with an emphasis on the impact in the first and second lines of defense (1LoD and 2LoD, respectively) (e.g., Businesses, Legal, Compliance, Controllers, Engineering, Risk, Operations, and Tax areas). This position provides the opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of the various products traded, and activities conduced, by the firm and how the firm operates on a global basis.
