The Respiratory Care Associate provides a limited variety of therapeutic respiratory care services in accordance with the Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practice Act, regulated by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. This position requires specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. • Requires the incumbent be currently attending an accredited respiratory program and hold a Provisional Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (OSBMLS). The incumbent may work under a temporary letter to practice issued by the OSBMLS until the board meets to issue their Provisional Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Must provide a copy of the verification of Student Status form required to obtain their Provisional license. The school instructor must complete the Student Task Proficiency List on this form
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
