About the Role:
A global freight forwarding/ logistics company is seeking an Inside Customer Service Agent. The Inside Customer Service Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to existing and new accounts within the Air Import department. This role involves proactive communication, problem-solving, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire shipping process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Communicate effectively with customers, overseas colleagues, truckers, and internal team members.
* Collaborate effectively to ensure the smooth movement and clearance of air import shipments.
* Provide timely and accurate information to all stakeholders involved in the process.
* Prepare precise and timely quotes for customers and overseas colleagues.
* Analyze shipping requirements and costs to determine accurate pricing.
* Coordinate with truckers and vendors for the domestic transportation and delivery of shipments and monitor to ensure they meet deadlines.
* Assist in the setup of new accounts as directed by the supervisor.
* Gather necessary information and documentation for account creation.
Qualifications:
* Strong typing skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Diligent work ethic
* Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
