Position Summary Reports to the Associate Dean of Clinical Administration. The Director of Dental Insurance Strategy is a visionary leader responsible for expanding the NYU College of Dentistry's insurance acceptance capabilities, ensuring accessibility to all patients, and driving the strategic growth of commercial insurance participation. This role is pivotal in attracting new patients to the College, strengthening the institution's presence as a leading provider of comprehensive dental care. Additionally, the Director will design and implement innovative self-pay payment strategies, providing patients with flexible and affordable options to support their oral health needs. Where applicable, this position will be responsible for directing and coordinating the commercial insurance goals, and objectives related to contract language, pricing and negotiation strategy, planning and execution, commercial insurance revenue reconciliation as applicable, and payer relationship management on behalf of the organization. This position shall also be responsible for collaboration and communication between commercial insurance and managed care companies and key internal stakeholder within NYU Dentistry. Responsible for securing optimal reimbursement and protecting the interests of NYU Dentistry in contract negotiations and the implementation and management of commercial insurance and managed care contracts. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $144,764.00 to USD $184,764.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
