Join Us! We are looking for a Scheduling Assistant, who is ready to build their future! Our Reed City plant, located just north of Grand Rapids, MI, is close enough to the city to enjoy great restaurants, concerts and events, but far enough away to really enjoy the great outdoor life Michigan has to offer.

The Scheduling Assistant will provide administrative support to the Reed City Scheduling team.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and control material flow through the supply chain
  • Make daily inventory adjustments as needed
  • Process required reports for the extrusion scheduling team
  • Create picks for production floor
  • Ensure that month end tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Create and distribute various daily/weekly reports that track shipments, labor, productivity, and delivery performance
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of extrusion scheduling processes and performance
  • Process Linetec trucks to create flat file
  • Process Linetec DMRs and ensure transactions are complete and correct
  • Determine lead times for new orders in communication with client services
  • Monitor, measure, and report output and backlog
  • Review past due work orders
  • Perform special assignments, other duties and projects as needed

Required Qualifications

  • AS Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong administrative, organizational and math skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate fluctuating workload
  • Strong typing skills; typing test required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Lean Management principals
