Description Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer to work on a team, located in Tucson, AZ on the DishTrak system. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance. The Engineer will also coordinate with the lead development group in Tucson, Arizona to define tasks and schedules. The ability to self-start and work independently is essential. The successful candidate will support the development of web applications written using React, Vue.js, Next.js, Django, Django Rest Framework, and Python. This position will also require front end GEOSpatial development using additional technologies like OpenLayers, OpenShift, & Docker. Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess a TS/SCI w/ Poly Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in front-end web development languages (such as HTML, CSS, Tailwind, JavaScript, React, Next.js).
- Demonstrated experience with developing websites using Django, Vue.js, Next.js, React. With the ability to write modular component based front-ends.
- Demonstrated experience implementing web accessibility standards/best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in Agile environment and consulting in a multi-project environment using technologies like GIT and Jira.
- Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices.
- Experience with building front-end or back-end Java applications or Django Python.
- Experience with Java Frameworks (Spring, Hibernate) and RESTful web services.
- Experience with JavaScript Frameworks and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or education background in Math or Physics.
- Demonstrated technical skills with data management and working knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
- Demonstrated familiarity with application programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript)
- Demonstrated experience planning and presenting user interface designs
- Familiarity with Docker and container-based deployments using Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Experience with Git, or Jenkins.
- Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and offering suggestions for concept development, metrics and deployment decisions.
- Demonstrated experience with problem resolution to include organizing and structuring solutions to complex problems. This includes the ability to plan projects, meet objectives, develop contingencies, and produce schedules.
- Experience with Cloud/Amazon Web Services.
- Experience with positively leading teams to delivery along with hands on support with development.

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
