Consultant - BPR Product Support Team Analyst Who We Are: ThinkTek LLC is a fast-growing Certified SBA 8(a) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) company. We specialize in providing management and technology consulting services to support the business and technology modernization efforts of the Federal Government. ThinkTek was formed with the specific purpose of providing its clients a tailored solution around Program & Project Management, Strategic Planning, and IT Operations. Position Description: The Business Process Analysts will perform continuous business and mission exploration functions as part of a team dedicated to the development of future capabilities for our clients and their end users. To be successful in this role you should have a wide skillset, being adept at analyzing current state pain points, conducting root cause analysis, assessing current doctrine, policy, laws and regulations, developing a future state vision, keeping the user at the center of the analysis being conducted, and codifying discussion, decisions and artifacts into agile requirements in the form of living documentation, use cases, epics, features and user stories. Additionally, you will assist with developing and maintaining project documentation, including project schedules and roadmaps, briefings, status reports, and other project deliverables as required. Responsibilities:
- Utilize Business Analysis and Re-Engineering techniques, such as Current State Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, Fit/Gap or Fit-to-Standard Analysis, and Future State Ideation to drive outcomes and outputs that are used in the development of the to-be solution
- Work with clients directly to provide business analyses and visualizations that help drive decision making and overall business process improvement
- Analyze and evaluate current state business processes and support documentation of current state identifying areas for improvement including business processes and business rules, and be able to link them to associated requirements
- Conduct business process design/walkthroughs to demonstrate how business processes will function in the future state
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's business objectives and what blockers/pain points are preventing them from achieving those objectives
- Work directly in tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Office products, to drive the analysis and help all participants visualize the conversation
- Contribute to the Solution Knowledge Base, or Solution Intent, by always refining documentation, positions, and articles when new knowledge is acquired
- Review client policies, regulations, doctrine and laws to understand what is governing the business process today, and what may need to change for a new material solution to be compliant
- Assist Team leads and Product Owners in creating and managing team-level programmatic activities and artifacts, such as team-level roadmaps, objectives, features, risks, issues, and decisions.
- Leverage continuous process improvement methodologies to improve and evolve the methods in which Business Analysis is conducted on the program. Participate in a community with other BAs who are passionate about sharing what they've learned and are invested in the success of the program and the professional growth of one another
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- At least 4 years of experience as a systems or business analyst, ideally with SAP ERP systems in a DoD environment including business process knowledge of one of the following: A2R, P2S, P2P, O2C, B2R, SR2R, D2RR, CM or C2P
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and functional team members
- Strong ability to break down problems, structure one's own and other work, and deliver outcomes and valuable outputs on aggressive timelines
- Experience in one of the following: Finance, Logistics, or Acquisition within the DoD and proficiency in the systems that support those domains
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Experience working in process improvement or process re-engineering initiatives
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Background in supporting large-scale IT transformations involving multiple stakeholders
- Proficient in Agile practices, methodologies, and tools
- Active DoD Secret security clearance required
Preferred:
- Experience with large-scale government ERP implementations
- Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira, ServiceNow, or similar project management tools
- Experience facilitating collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Experience working remotely within a large project
- Experience working in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment
