We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Well Performance Specialist - Production within our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management EOR Subsurface Core Surveillance asset based in Denver City, Texas.

Roles and Responsibilities



  • Responsible for day-to-day well operations


o Identify/work producing well exceptions: RT/cycle deviations (zero/very high cycles), ESP PIP and Motor Temp deviations, and injection/flowing/plunger well surveillance

o Shut in and start wells

o Coordinate hot watering, chemical treatments, paraffin cutting, rigless jobs, etc.



  • Coordinate well failure activities


o Identify, validate, and react to well failures

o Determine if variance is a downhole, surface, or POC issue

o Communicate with PFAs, ETs, and ATs on well issues as appropriate

o Dispatch 3rd party vendors whenever appropriate

o Execute displacement changes (SL, SPM)



  • Operate and coordinate maintenance of POCs


o Resolve well and hardware alarms



  • Responsible for accurate and timely well tests and downtime


o Validate tests & troubleshoot variances

o Coordinate resolution of problems with PFAs, ATs, Prod Techs

Identify Production Opportunities for well and lease-level variances

Qualifications

Education:

* At least High School Grad or GED. Some college or technical training preferred



  • 2 years of college with a math/science focus preferred



Experience:



  • 3 or more years of Oilfield Surface Production preferred
  • 2+ years of producing well surveillance/optimization. ESP, beams and flowing wells preferred



Professional and Technical Knowledge/Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications:

* Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record



  • Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpretation knowledge of production plots
  • Proactive on issue identification and resolution
  • Interpretation of Dynamometer cards and ESP pump curves
  • Well volume calculations
  • Good understanding of beam lift basic maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of gas-well liquid loading mechanisms, inflow performance, and be able to troubleshoot wells on the basis of tubing and casing pressures and flow performance.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet the objectives of the job and the team
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Organizational skills
