What You Will Do as a Financial Analyst:

The Financial Analyst will collaborate in continuous improvement of financial decision-making and storytelling across the Finance organization. This position will support various administrative functions, spearhead efforts to improve business analytics, benchmarking, predictive modeling, productivity, dashboarding, metric development, data/system quality, and ad hoc analysis/projects. The Financial Analyst also supports special projects as needed for company management, such as systems implementation and data management and governance.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Primarily Support Distribution / Outbound Freight Team: Assist in analyzing and report on distribution and outbound freight spending with the management team.
  • Support Corporate FP&A: Assist in analyzing spending across various functional areas.
  • Month-End Reviews: Help with month-end spending reviews with senior management.

Presentation and Reporting

  • Assist Distribution-FP&A Manager: Prepare presentation materials for meetings and reviews.
  • Prepare Reports: Create analytical reports for financial results and forecasts.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Support additional analysis requests.

Financial Modeling and Analysis

  • Create Financial Models: Use Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.
  • Develop Dashboards: Create reporting tools for Finance department.
  • Analyze Spending: Provide insights on spending in Distribution, Logistics, and SGA areas.

Special Projects: Complete special projects and analyses as needed

Skills for Success:

  • 1-3 years in an Accounting or Finance function
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or other quantitative/analytical/technical disciplines
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Power BI and/or Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of complex statistical analysis and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Self-discipline to meet internal and corporate schedules and deadlines
  • Effective communication skills (written, presentation, oral)
