Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Financial Analyst eager to join our team to provide financial guidance and analysis for Goldbelt Frontier and Apex. The Financial Analyst will act to provide insights and data-driven recommendations to support financial decision making. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for various functions including data analysis, financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. This role will also provide SME support to Project Managers to ensure effective contract execution and monitoring.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
  • Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
  • Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new regulations or policies.
  • Develop models that help with decision-making Ad hoc financial analysis projects and report preparation as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies in all financial reporting activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures for quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the finance function, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency.
  • Act as subject matter expert for new reporting packages.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Good communication skills for communicating within the organization and with external parties.
  • Ability to compile and understand large amounts of data and use that data to create well-polished presentation materials.
  • Expert level experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance OR equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of financial principles and concepts.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration degree (MBA).
  • Experience operating in a government contracting environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using VENA Solutions software strongly preferred.
  • SQL experience a plus.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000 annually.
