Engineering Technician/Assembler

TSC's is seeking a Engineering Technician II located in our Plymouth, MA to support our production division.

Responsibilities:

Performs basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly functions on prototype and production type hardware according to company workmanship standards and military or client specifications. Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Assists in the development and wiring of engineering models and in the development of assembly methods and wire lists. Reads & produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). The employee may frequently be required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 5+ years of production and/or assembly experience
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as needed
  • Strong understanding of hand tools and electronic equipment; torque wrenches, screwdrivers, crimpers, dies, multimeter, presses, connectors, contacts, wire gauges/types, soldering, etc.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree related to aerospace or electronics and/or 3-5 years of production and/or assembly experience.
  • Ability to assembly, test, rework, repair according to IPC Standards
  • Experience working in a design team environment with vendors, customers and peer engineers
