Position Description

Saunders Corp. Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Quality Manager to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will manage the Quality Assurance function and monitor all phases of our manufacturing processes to ensure that all products meet consistent high standards. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with the production and sales team to improve business and create solutions that serve both Saunders Corp. and R.S. Hughes' customers. This role is expected to adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.

Key Competencies Required to be Successful as Quality Assurance Manager



  • Creates and implements company manufacturing and production quality standards.
  • Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing manufacturing policies and procedures.
  • Trains employees on quality standards and processes, and ensures that production parts are manufactured with consistent high quality.
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by obtaining data through statistical measurements and performing information analysis.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing FMEA's, DMAIC, PPAP's, and NPI processes.
  • Performs Installation Qualification (IQ), and Operational Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) activities.
  • Responsible for developing procedures for Incoming Inspection, 1st Article Inspections (FAI), and In-Process Inspection, as well as Final Inspection.
  • Maintains and updates Quality Manual & Procedures for continuous improvement and effectiveness.
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, and compliance audits.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.


Education/Certification/Licenses



  • Four-year college degree in manufacturing engineering or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Quality Management experience working in a manufacturing and or industrial setting required.


Skills That Will Make You Successful



  • Demonstrated proficiency with NPI, FMEA, DMAIC, PPAP's.
  • Expertise in Statistical Measurement, and in employing Process Capability (CPK) - Statistical Process Control.
  • ISO Audit / Supplier Audit/ Internal Audit capabilities.
  • Proficiency with regulatory oversight/ response procedures (IMDS submissions, REACH, RoHS, PFAS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with 8D Problem Solving and Gage R&R.
  • Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) proficiency.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and use of Fish Bone (Cause & Effect Diagram).
  • Expertise in performing Risk Analysis & developing/ implementing Risk Mitigation solutions.



Target Base Compensation range for this Exempt role is $105k - $115k DOE.

This is a Full-Time position, eligible to participate in the Company's benefit plans including: Paid Time off; major medical, dental, vision; Company paid short-term and long-term disability; paid parental leave; various supplemental benefit plans; and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).

Education
Bachelors of Manufacturing Engineering Technology (required)
Experience
5 years: Manufacturing Quality Management experience working in a manufacturing and or industrial setting required. (required)
