DevSecOps Engineer

The Opportunity:

DevSecOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you know that these skills create efficiency and effectiveness, so you can quickly deliver the best solutions for clients. We're looking for a DevOps Engineer like you to help develop critical tools and get them into the hands of those who need them most.

As a DevSecOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help streamline the software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You'll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best-create. You'll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Computing and utilizing native AWS capabilities

  • 2+ years of experience in medium to large enterprise network environments with change board, documentation, and reporting requirements

  • Experience working with containerized applications, including building and running via Docker Compose and local k8s

  • Experience with web application development and managing deployments through production

  • Experience with full stack development and scripting languages, including Python or PowerShell

  • Experience in cybersecurity tool development, including SIEM, IdAM solutions, or vulnerability scanners

  • Ability to work on developing connectors with tools to effectively enable end-to-end automation of security operations procedures

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or CS field

  • Elastic, Security+, CEH, CySA+, or CISSP Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, including Elastic, Splunk, Tanium, Zscaler, Palo Alto, HBSS, ACAS, AWS Security Hub, NetSkope, CrowdStrike, or ServiceNow

  • Experience with Linux administration

  • Experience with Networks and Network Protocols, including TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, and FTP

  • Experience working in DoD cloud environments

  • Experience with Keycloak

  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

  • Top Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
