Summary of the Job:

The Intern role is accountable to develop core skills and working knowledge of FNBO business practices and operations through educational sessions, straightforward projects, and other duties requested by the manager. The RPA Intern has a key role in supporting the use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using Blue Prism. The RPA Intern is responsible for the day-to-day RPA activities including development, process analysis/discovery and production support.

About This Role:

  • RPA Development
  • Develop solutions for improving quality, delivery, efficiency, and customer and employee experience for business partners using the RPA application.
  • Responsible for the performance, reliability, and maintenance of RPA automations.
  • Resolve production issues in a timely and accurately.
  • Work closely with other RPA Developers and business units regarding enhancements and changes.
  • Contribute to Automation portfolio and weekly discussions for updates, requests for support, and instilling best practices into our automations.
  • Coordinate and perform release testing.
  • Business Analysis
  • Seek opportunities to learn, automate, document, share, educate, and improve processes and systems.
  • Lead lightweight requirements analysis with stakeholders ensuring that requirements are effective for automation development.
  • Gather metrics and other documentation to support analysis and findings.
  • Business Relationship Management
  • Possess knowledge, skills and behaviors that foster a productive relationship with business partners.
  • Communicate effectively with business units to identify needs and build solutions.
  • Train the business partner on their automations, reporting, and exception resolution.
  • Manage business unit's expectations effectively.
  • Project: Aim to increase the likelihood that automations deliver the intended results and outcomes.
  • Lead small automation projects
  • Develop, monitor, and report on detailed project plans including scope, tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Intern Program:
    • Participate in corporate internship program activities such as educational workshops, social events, and community outreach.
    • Attend and participate in required internship educational sessions to develop and enhance core skills, industry knowledge, and key system and process understanding (as available)
    • Participate and/or lead the completion of assigned short-term projects, as requested by manager
    • Work with manager to develop, implement and complete a development plan, intended to identify educational opportunities in the organization aligned with interests
  • Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties.

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to design new automations, modify, enhance or adapt existing automations and integrate new features or improvements, all with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to implement, configure and test feasible solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build collaborative relationships, listen and actively contribute to discussions.
  • Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
  • Effective planning, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Must be a current university student or recent graduate with pursuing a degree in computer science or other technical program.
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Possess leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Macros, RPA (Blue Prism), Machine Learning, or AI
