Senior Network Engineer Lead

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer Lead to support large-scale migration and operations on a large, high-profile DOD contract. The I3TS program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable DTRA's Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD) to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRA's internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations. The Infrastructure Services Lead shall serve as the key person to lead, coordinate, and provide subject-matter expertise on implementation, operation, maintenance, and advanced delivery services (e.g., DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), containerization technologies, etc.)

Primary Responsibilities

Provide thought leadership to team of network engineers, actively identifying opportunities for improvement including innovations aimed at improving the user experience, improving efficiencies, and lowering sustainment costs

Design, maintain, and operate Wireless and Local Area Networks (LANs/WLAN) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), using Infrastructure as Code and Ansible Automation Platform Lead the migration of DISA and other DoD organizations to IPv6 Automate network changes on across various vendor platforms and Azure Cloud. Provide inputs to the design of the enterprise's network and mission architecture Evaluate network architectures across platforms to ensure alignment to cloud and network modernization strategies, capabilities and requirement sets Enforce security best practices and guidelines, leveraging knowledge of security policies, network security, and data security.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience

• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance

• Experience designing, deploying, and operating software defined networking solutions

• Expert understanding of networking in the areas of LAN, WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, proxies, routing (L2/L3), firewalls and software defined networking

• Ability to work effectively within a distributed technical team, aided by strong written and verbal communication skills IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Version 4 Foundation and one or more ITIL Practice Manager, Managing Professional, or Strategic Leader certifications towards ITIL mastery.

• One or more DoDD 8140.01 certifications related to performance.

• One or more technical or management certifications related to delivery of services.

• Experience supporting DevSecOps-enabled delivery methodologies, technologies, platforms, and/or pipelines. Experience supporting services within the scope of this Task Order for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICs environments.

• Experience delivering executive-level technical briefings and presentations to senior Government personnel.

• Active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent

• Working experience installing, configuring, and managing Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM)
