The Senior Employee Relations Representative role offers an exciting opportunity to directly influence the well-being, safety, and workplace experience of our employees. This position involves conducting confidential investigations related to conduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in accordance with BSC policies, local laws, regulations, and requirements. This position also offers the opportunity to use consultative strategies while partnering with peers and stakeholders on escalations involving performance management, employee accommodations, and sensitive employee situations. This position will support the Commercial Divisions, Global Operations, and Global Supply Chain organizations.

This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3 days onsite at one of the following office locations:



  • Houston, TX
  • Arden Hills, MN
  • Maple Grove, MN
  • Marlborough, MA
  • Valencia, CA



Your responsibilities will include:



  • Develop strategy and create investigation plans prior to conducting, managing, and documenting investigations of varied complexity and scope to support the employee experience and mitigate risk for the organization.
  • Conduct thorough internal investigations to gather facts related to reported employee concerns and determine any policy violations.
  • Assess the severity of determined company policy violations, involve appropriate stakeholders, and provide final recommendations based on policy and company precedent.
  • Consult with cross-functional peers on inquiries and escalated employee matters.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on company policy and be able to educate and influence the recommendation when a policy violation is determined.
  • Analyze investigation data and provide trend information to appropriate parties, as well as strategic actions to address themes and trends within a business.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate investigative reports that summarize findings and provide recommendations for resolution. Present findings to management and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all investigations and employee relations matters. Ensure documentation is complete, secure, and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistent and fair handling of employee relations matters. Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on policy-related issues.
  • Partner regularly with Legal, HR Business Partners, and People Services on a variety of sensitive matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and conducting full-cycle, complex internal employee investigations.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders in a complex matrix environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and matrixed work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate with teams, and deliver customer service.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.



The expected annualized base pay range this full-time position working at this location will be from$80,100 to $152,200, plus annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements) and the value of core and optional employee benefits being offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Boston Scientific considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
