Your Opportunity as Sanitation Supervisor

Location: Columbus, GA Hostess Manufacturing Plant

Work Arrangements: 100% on site, rotating days 2nd and 3rd shift

Report To: Sanitation Manager

In this role you will:

  • Plan and direct the activities of sanitation personnel during a work shift
  • Ensure cleaning standards are maintained and prevent product contamination
  • Conduct inspections and initiate corrective action as needed
  • Pest control application as needed
  • Ensure reports are properly maintained and completed timely
  • Evaluate job performance of sanitation personnel and take corrective action as needed
  • Ensure proper training of sanitation personnel to follow work policies and procedures
  • Assist in the daily evaluation of product quality to ensure compliance with established standards
  • Ensure a safe operation in compliance with all plant safety prevention programs
  • Comply with all collective bargaining agreements to foster positive employee relations
  • Cooperate with engineering and production departments with required maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Perform other duties relating to the efficient operation of the bakery as assigned

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to work rotating flexible hours, weekends, off shifts, etc.
  • Work with cleaning and chemical agents and wear required PPE on a regular basis.

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Food Science or Microbiology.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Capable of teaching, training, and sharing technical knowledge to operations employees.
  • Effective Oral and Written Communication
  • Computer knowledge specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
