Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Senior Pricing Analyst to join our team. The Senior Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in developing pricing strategies for competitive bids and proposals, particularly in federal government contracting. This position requires strong analytical skills, an in-depth understanding of cost structures, and the ability to develop competitive and compliant pricing models.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for developing compliant cost models and effective pricing strategies for proposals by collaborating with the business development, capture, proposal, human resources, and finance departments.
- Responsible for researching and tracking competitor pricing and market trends, analyzing the impact of pricing changes on profitability and growth rates.
- In collaboration with other managers, develops price-to-win goals, and provides input for competitive direct/indirect rates.
- Ensure the final cost proposals compliance with Governmental regulations, including CAS, FAR and DFARS.
- Corporate policies and procedures; and specific requirements in each of the clients' solicitations Develops Cost Strategy Plan and ensures that leadership and assigned capture manager approve of the plan.
- Brings to pricing manager's attention, all concerns with the pricing section requiring resolution Certifies to executive leadership that cost proposal is in full compliance with Request for Proposal (RFP) and organization's costing procedures.
- Develops proposals pricing for various programs in compliance with the proposed technical solution(s) by working with the business development and the operations team members during the proposal development phase.
- Builds cost models and develops basis of proposal estimate working with the operations team, finance representatives, HR leads, capture manager and subcontractors.
- Works with the capture and executive leadership to arrive at the labor cost pools for bid pricing as needed.
- Identifies areas of continuous improvement for pricing strategies and present pricing models Uses creative and strategic thinking to develop, manage and institutionalize pricing and cost models for reusability and scalability.
- Coordinating, planning, and executing competitive analysis and research of primary competitors in support of Price to Win (PTW) and capture team information requirements for high priority projects.
- Develop and brief PTW analysis supporting Best Value and Low Price Technically Acceptable Competitions.
- Develop competitive assessments, funding analysis, top-down program price analysis, bottoms up program price analysis, market-based price analysis, and other similar target allocations.
- Provide assessments of competitor actions/strategies and their impact on high priority pursuits Support market assessments and early-stage capture planning.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Full life cycle RFP/Task Order response knowledge.
- Must have knowledge of all Contract Types (e.g., FFP, FFP LOE, FPIF, CPAF, CPFF, T&M, etc.).
- Must have strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
- Must be proficient with MS Office including, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel in developing and manipulating formulas.
- Track record of submitting compliant pricing proposals.
- Negotiating with subcontractors or Work with primes and subcontractors during pricing proposal development/process.
- Must be flexible, independent, and reliable, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Possess innovative writing skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 6 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or master's degree with 4 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Previous experience with pricing and proposal writing in government contracting environment.
- Must have experience working with the Service Contract Act (SCA) and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) Research market trends and develops competitive pricing strategies for proposals Building, filling in, and creating cost models.
- Supervisory role in previous experience.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
- Experience with large multi-million dollar proposals.
- Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs).
