General Description: The Admin Mgr Supply Chain Category Management will develop sourcing strategies for specified categories to achieve key organizational and departmental goals. This position requires the ability to work with hospital administrative departments, clinicians and hospital executives to facilitate adoption and standardization of services and products that create efficiencies and cost reduction efforts throughout the organization. Provides leadership and day-to-day oversight of Contracts Specialists. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. - Leads Sourcing and Value Analysis teams under the direction of the Administrative Director, Category Management and Value Analysis. Independently secures data from suppliers and internal sources, and performs effective analysis of findings to develop, implement, and monitor supplier strategies and relationships.
- Ensures that the contract portfolio is effective, efficient, meets the requirements of the hospital, and is optimized between the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and local contracts and agreements.
- Creates strategic alliances with suppliers to leverage volume and optimize price and spend.
- Provides effective communication to management, co-workers, and suppliers to establish collaborative communication, especially as related to activity status of supply chain initiatives.
- Monitors markets to understand changes and product introductions to ensure contract portfolio remains relevant to market conditions.
- Manages scorecard schedule to meet the annual goals of the Strategic Sourcing team.
- Provides leadership in the creation of scorecards, and effectively communicates feedback with strategic suppliers to drive tangible improvements for OU Health.
- Trains and develops Contract Specialist's skills to discover cost savings opportunities through benchmarking tools, market assessments, and supplier research.
- Interviews, hires, conduct performance evaluations, trains and attends to personnel issues with staff under his/her area of responsibility.
- Responsible for managing contracting life cycles to ensure a strategy is in place when contracts are close to expiration.
- Provides leadership and guidance to ensure that supply chain activities are cost effective, create value, and meet customer expectations.
- Provides leadership at Value Analysis meetings to meet OU Health savings goals, while providing support to committee member stakeholders.
- Responsible for developing a bid calendar, which will provide a pipeline of projects for future savings opportunities. This calendar will provide the Strategic Sourcing team a project roadmap for successfully hitting savings targets year over year.
- Delivers cost savings and value maximization to the total cost of ownership of equipment, supplies and services while fulfilling the mission of the organization.
- Leads negotiations with suppliers to reach a contract at the best total value for OU Health.
- Effectively manages the Value Analysis meetings. This includes putting together an agenda, presenting financial information in clear and concise manner, gathering feedback, and creating next steps for each initiative.
- Works closely with the Value Analysis Manager to manage new technology and product request, backorders, recalls, and substitute products.
- With the support of the Value Analysis Manager, structures and plasn effective trials and conversions for products for supplies and services.

Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in applicable field required. Technical or Business-related degree field preferred. Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive leadership experience required, with experience in supply chain management or supply chain project management. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: None required. Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) through American Hospital Association preferred. Lean/Six Sigma or similar process improvement program is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience using metrics to drive decisions and working with external vendors.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Supply Chain functional area.
- Demonstrated business understanding and ability to balance people/ organizational decisions with business considerations

- Able to rapidly summarize information and present to others.
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools and Supply Chain analytics.
