Job Summary

Responsible for serving as a Field Service Representative (FSR) for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as part of a fast-paced team tasked with Life Cycle Sustainment Activities (LCSA). Field Service Representatives will be responsible to manage, conduct, and train in biometrics and SOF site exploitation activities.

  • Configures, maintains, and utilizes biometric and forensic equipment in both the office and field environments.
  • Advises, assists, and demonstrates on equipment and software upgrades; draft reports; and maintain records.
  • May be required to conduct CONUS and OCONUS EAC inspections (current lab locations in Iraq, Djibouti, Afghanistan, Guam, ASASOC, and MARSOC).
  • Maintains proficiency in new identity intelligence equipment, TTP, training requirements, data sources, and production requirements.
  • Serve as Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE) subject matter expert for planning fielding, training, employment, equipment maintenance, trouble-shooting, repairing, updating, and evaluation activities.
  • Provides SSE SME assistance during the Information Assurance Certification process for SSE hardware and software tools.
  • Assist with development, documentation, and training of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) for employment of biometric, forensic, CELLEX, and MEDEX hardware and software tools.
  • Researches, develops, and presents written products and briefings to tactical, command and executive-level audiences.
  • Participates in and provides SME support to SOF Tactical Biometric, Tactical Forensic, Tactical Document and Media Exploitation (DOMEX) evaluations (TBE, TFE, TDE), and other identity program related evaluations as part of the SSE program of record technology refresh effort.
  • Provides instruction on the process for replacing or refurbishing biometric and forensic collection equipment through the SOF Sustainment Asset Visibility Information Exchange (SSAVIE) portal.
  • Provides instruction on the process for submitting trouble tickets, requisitions, and transferring biometric collection equipment to SSAVIE via the supported units, Property Book Officer (PBO).
  • Utilizes, briefs, and trains the Joint Operations Stocks (JOS) program in the areas of JOS loan policy, JOS loan procedures for obtaining equipment, JOS accountability/property book reporting process, and JOS service and equipment turn-in.
Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree in intelligence, computer science, law enforcement, or forensic science related fields; OR two (2) years of military experience, training/education and related experience required; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Graduate of one or more of the courses taught at the joint Exploitation Training Center (JETC) located in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, NC: Operator Advanced Course (OAC), Exploitation Analysis Course (EAC), Technical Exploitation Course (TEC).
  • Training or experience in cellular phone extraction and analysis (CELLEX), computer data extraction and analysis (MEDEX), latent fingerprint lifting, trace element and explosive detection, and DNA/rDNA collection processing.
  • Experience performing biometric or forensic operational collection and/or analysis.
