We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to manage the AP function in our client's high-volume manufacturing environment.

Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable (AP) Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire AP process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and managing a small team of AP specialists. This role prefers experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills for vendor management, and proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices and expense reports.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AP specialists, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or payment issues promptly.
  • Review and improve AP processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy, particularly in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledgers to ensure completeness and accuracy of all AP transactions.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end closing processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics for managing AP workflows, reporting, and troubleshooting system-related issues.

Qualifications:
  • Prefer an Associates in degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a managerial or team lead role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in process improvement and automation is a plus.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
