Overview

The Nail Technician is an essential contributor to the spa's elevated beauty and wellness experience. This role delivers impeccably detailed manicure and pedicure services using premium products, advanced techniques, and luxury hospitality. The Nail Technician creates a serene, relaxing, and results-driven experience that reflects the spa's five-star standards.



Responsibilities

    Perform luxury-level manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements following spa protocols and brand standards.
  • Provide meticulous cuticle care, shaping, buffing, polish application, gel services, and specialty treatments with precision and artistry.
  • Customize services based on guest preferences, nail health, and desired aesthetic.
  • Offer warm, intuitive service with polished communication, ensuring every guest feels cared for, relaxed, and valued.
  • Provide aftercare education and recommend maintenance products to prolong results.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of spa service offerings, treatment protocols, and premium nailcare brands used within the spa.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas meet luxury-spa standards for sanitation, sterilization, and cleanliness always.
  • Maintain treatment rooms and nail stations that are immaculate, beautifully presented, and fully stocked for each service.
  • Follow all state regulations for hygiene, disinfection, and safe handling of products.
  • Document guest preferences and service notes accurately in spa software.
  • Educate guests on nailcare products and wellness items suited to their needs.
  • Recommend homecare solutions - cuticle oils, strengthening treatments, hydration products - to enhance nail health between visits.
  • Support retail goals through authentic, informative, and personalized recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly with spa leadership, front desk team, and fellow technicians and therapists to ensure a seamless guest journey.
  • Participate in ongoing training, brand education, new service rollouts, and luxury service refinement.
  • Support spa promotions, seasonal offerings, and VIP experiences when needed.


Qualifications

  • Valid state Nail Technician or Cosmetology license.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a luxury spa, resort, high-end salon, or premium hospitality setting preferred.
  • Expertise in manicures, pedicures, gel systems; familiarity with structured gel, nail art, or enhancements is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of nail health, product ingredients, and advanced nailcare techniques.
  • Exceptional grooming, professional etiquette, and guest-service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and attention to detail.
  • Graceful, calming, polished demeanor.

For Employees Based in Washington:

  • 8 paid holidays per year
  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
  • Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For Employees Based in Colorado:

  • 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
  • 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based in California:

  • 8 paid holidays per year
  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
  • Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

Please note that certain benefits described above for associates in Washington, Colorado, and California may vary for associates covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA"). For such associates, eligibility for and the terms and conditions of benefits are governed by the applicable CBA and any applicable plan documents, and may differ from the benefits described above. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency, the terms of the applicable CBA and governing plan documents will control, as applicable.
